Statistics: Russia’s inflation again at 0.1% in Dec 5–Mon
MOSCOW, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices increased by 0.1% for a third consecutive week from December 5 through Monday, and inflation reached 2.3% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for eggs grew 1.4%. Prices for butter, margarine, milk, cheeses, and millet rose 0.2–0.3%. But prices for buckwheat decreased 1.3%, for sugar went down 0.5%, and for pork and sunflower oil contracted 0.2%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables rose 1.7% on average. Prices for fresh cucumbers and tomatoes rose 6.3% and 5.9%, respectively.
Gasoline prices rose 0.5% and diesel fuel prices went up 0.8%.
